How much HEAT is Too Much /Brush & Hair dryer have we gone too HOT?

How Much Heat is Too Much? It’s not just your hair dryer; it’s your brush too, damaging and scorching your hair.

Hot hairdryers not only cause an uneven flash drying effect that removes surface moisture, but it also removes the internal moisture in the hair. The cuticle becomes dry and brittle, when the hair is shaped this causes the cuticle to crack, which can cause breakage when simply brushing the hair.

Our experience with the many hair dryers we have tested has shown the temperature is not evenly distributed from the nozzle.  For example, we recently tested a hair dryer and found the temperature on one side of the nozzle reached 248f but on the other side only reached 80f. What do you think this is doing to your hair while styling?

You often find articles regarding hot hairdryers and even heat styling brushes but never are the two put together. The fact is both cause scorching and damage to the hair.

The most common brushes, aerated brushes for heat styling and were designed to increase  and hold heat. This can spell disaster - especially for fine fragile hair. It is suggested when using this type of brush on wet or damp hair, the hot air passes through the damp section of hair through/ holes and out the other side. Speeding up drying time. Though in fact air cannot pass through both the hair and holes you need more heat to make this brush effective which means you are frying the hair dry and, in some cases, this is done daily.

HotHeads hairbrushes giving you these features:

-Speeding up DRYING time by channeling the hot air around and the section and brush is the only way to speed drying time without sever heat with reduced damage.

-Less damage to your hair= less breakage, healthier, shinier hair

-Improving the performance of any hairdryer using less heat for improved results.

Our Patented CAPTIVE ENDS™ control, channel wrap and compress the airflow around the barrel of the brush reducing drying time, while reducing tangling, frizz with less heat needed.

Our GENTLE TOUCH 3D BRISTLES™ allows the hair to float on a cushion of bristles allowing airflow from the hair dryer to flow above and below the hair, wrapped on the barrel of the brush. This prevents burning and scorching due to the fact the hair is NOT having direct contact with a hot metal surface as in an aerated brush.

Our THERMAL CONDUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY patented; balances reflects the heat distributing it evenly across the barrel of the brush. TCT also reaches your hair dryer’s top temperature in just 18 seconds but by reflecting heat will also cools down faster and this is what sets hair to last. It’s the HEATING and COOLING in combination together that gives you a lasting style. Cooling faster saves time and damage to the hair.

Today with all the hair coloring, bleaching and other chemical services being done it's more important than ever to consider both the hair dryer and the brush you select when heat styling.

Interestingly the cooking industry is now using hair dryers to cook chicken, now that’s HOT, do we really need to cook hair dry?
