How much heat is too much? It not just your hair dryer it may be your hairbrush too that’s damaging your hair.
Some extremely hot hairdryers may cause uneven flash drying removing moisture from the surface and internal structure of the hair .The cuticle becomes dry, brittle and fragile and when the hair is shaped the cuticle may fracture which results in breakage just by simply brushing the hair.
Upon testing many hairdryers for heat distribution from the nozzle the temperature varied greatly. An example of this one side of nozzle reached a temperature of 248 F but on the other side reached 80 F so how does this effect your styling?
