Let’s create Healthy hair together when styling

How much heat is too much? It not just your hair dryer it may be your hairbrush too that’s damaging your hair.

Some extremely hot hairdryers may cause uneven flash drying  removing moisture from the surface and internal structure of the hair .The cuticle becomes dry, brittle and fragile and when the hair is shaped the cuticle may fracture which results in breakage just by simply brushing the hair.

Upon testing many hairdryers for heat distribution from the nozzle the temperature varied greatly. An example of this one side of nozzle reached a temperature of 248 F but on the other side reached 80 F so how does this effect your styling? Certainly, you would agree it would take longer to dry hair probably resulting in heat damage in some areas of the hair.

You often read articles about hair dryers being too hot and even some styling brushes, but it seems they are never discussed together in causing heat damage to the hair.

When we talk about brushes the most common type are described as aerators for heat styling and were designed to increase the heat from the dryer speeding up drying time. This can spell disaster especially for fine fragile hair.  An aerator brush  when used on wet or damp hair  is supposed to  allow the air from the dryer to pass through the section of hair wrapped around  the barrel  with holes of the brush faster but in order to achieve this the hairdryer must be hotter and the brush  designed to retain heat. Think about this can the air from the dryer really pass through both the damp/wet hair and the barrel of the brush without adding more heat to speed up the drying time? Hair styled daily in this manner surely will result in breakage especially in fragile areas like the hairline or crown area not to mention bubbling in the roots.

We developed HOTHEADS® Speed brushes to help Prevent heat styling damage resulting in Healthier hair.

By both Design and Function these brushes with their patented CAPTIVE ENDS® reduce drying time by channeling the hot air around the section of hair and brush faster which is the only way to speed up drying time without severe heat damage. This feature also prevents tangling on the end of the brush   and reduces frizz resulting in Healthier, Shiner, Manageable hair.

You are also improving the performance of the hair dryer by reducing the amount of heat and time required to dry the hair while moderating the heat and hot spots from dryers.

The 3D BRISTLE PATTERN™ allows the hair to float on a cushion of bristles allowing the air from the dryer to flow over and below the hair that is wrapped around the barrel of the brush. Preventing burning and scorching of the hair as the hair does not have direct contact with the barrel of this brush, unlike an aerator brush.

The patented Thermal Conductive Technology™ helps balance, refract the heat moderating it evenly across the barrel of the brush. This feature enables your hairdryer to reach its top temperature in 18 seconds and gives it the ability to quickly refract heat cooling down 30% faster, strengthen the blow dry style resulting in healthier hair. It takes both the heating and cooling in combination to give you a lasting style and leave the hair damage free Healthier.

Today with all the hair coloring, bleaching and other chemical services being done its more important than ever to consider both the hairdryer and the brush your selecting when heat styling.
