Our JOURNEY
Michael Victor Vecchiola in 1966 a stylist, an educator, platform artist and brand ambassador, owned and operated various upscale salons in Toronto Canada.
In the early 1980’s was joined by a stylist Patricia Coyne together created a salon apothecary Delineation Hair and Skin Essentials in Toronto Canada.
In mid 1980’s moved to a 6000 ft location incorporating both salon, spa and apothecary. Known as the “Go To” place in North America for beauty products and information on both haircare and skincare.
Continually observing our clients concerns about the condition of their hair. Clients would often comment on hair brushes that were in the marketplace with frustration.
Thus began our journey to develop high performance styling brushes trade marked as HOTHEADS® hair brushes.
The first patent 1990’s incorporated a temperature indicating innovation to a styling brush to help improve the clients experience when blow-drying.
The second patent known as CAPTIVE ENDS® (Flared Ends) on the brush barrel helps control air flow and heat.
3D BRISTLE PATTERN® was developed to offer shine, adjustable tensions and easy penetration of the hair, with reduced breakage and damage to the hair.
Excessive heat damage was a major concern to the quality of hair we received a patent known as
THERMAL CONDUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY® which cools 30% faster and helps moderate heat damage.
2019-2020 an independent study was completed on HOTHEADS® hair brushes to substantiate findings as well as provide more information on how these brushes help improve the quality of hair when heat styling.
We continue to focus on the quality of hair with these technologies, which were developed to help improve your blow-drying experience and the quality of the hair.
